A complete New Classic residential interior design project in Riyadh, led by Saudi interior designer Shahad Bakhurji — from the first structural stages through finishing and material supply. The villa balances refined New Classic interiors with everyday family living, crowned by a fully reimagined modern rooftop apartment.
About the Project
Shahad Bakhurji, a Saudi interior designer specializing in luxury residential interior design, led the complete design and execution journey of this villa project in Riyadh.
The project covered every stage — from site measurements, structural works and planning, through material and finish selection, to full 3D visualization and technical drawings — ensuring every detail was executed to the highest standards of quality.
The Challenge
The main challenge was achieving balance between the sophisticated New Classic character the owner wanted and the requirements of modern daily life.
The project also called for completely reimagining the rooftop and transforming it into an independent modern apartment with a simple, elegant design — while preserving visual harmony across every part of the home.
What We Delivered
The ground floor was designed to accommodate an outdoor diwaniya, a luxury men’s majlis, a dining hall, and a family majlis offering comfort and privacy.
The first floor was dedicated to the bedrooms, with spaces designed to combine luxury and practicality in step with the family’s lifestyle.
On the rooftop, a contemporary modern design with clean lines and calm tones turned the space into an independent, multi-use retreat. Throughout, New Classic design was layered with modern elements to give the home a balanced personality — luxurious yet comfortable.

What Is New Classic Interior Design?
New Classic interior design blends the symmetry, proportion and craftsmanship of classical architecture with the clean lines and restraint of contemporary living. In luxury Saudi villas it translates into paneled walls, refined mouldings and statement lighting, paired with comfortable modern furniture and a calm, neutral palette.
For this Riyadh villa that meant book-matched marble feature walls, sculptural chandeliers and brass detailing in the formal majlis and dining areas, balanced by warm, livable family spaces and a fully modern rooftop apartment — one coherent design language from entrance to roof.
Project Outcome & Added Value
The project successfully turned the client’s vision into a complete home that reflects their personal identity and delivers the highest levels of functional and aesthetic comfort.
The final result is a luxury residential villa in Riyadh that brings together refined interior design, practical planning and precise execution — with full harmony across the majlis, family spaces, bedrooms and the modern rooftop apartment.
